Climate change is the major challenge facing the world
— David Attenborough

Everyone needs the planet to sustain us

That’s why I am campaigning for urgent action to reduce the impacts of climate change.

The evidence of human-caused climate change is overwhelming and continues to strengthen, the impacts of climate change are intensifying across the world, and climate-related threats to everyone’s physical, social, and economic well-being are rising.

According to the UN, to keep the world below that target, global greenhouse gas emissions in 2030 would have to be 55% lower than today.

Climate change and air pollution threaten our future – but by investing in renewable energy and stopping the waste of energy and natural resources, we can protect our health and the environment, and boost the economy.

As discussed at the UN, we need a five-fold increase our climate commitments if we are to give our children and grandchildren the future we would expect for them.

We must now address our energy policy and our industrial policies. We must move away from carbon producing energy sources, and move government investment from those to clean technologies.

It is time to make a clear call for bold and urgent climate change action. It is time for politicians and for Government Ministers to listen to people and to take action.
